        "Beaman doesn't seem surprised to see the other man; as usual, his eyes flick to his new companions and away, not quite ever meeting his gaze. Nevertheless, his smile is gentle, features relaxing as he looks down at Piano.

        "That's a good name," he says, reaching down to scratch Piano under the chin, "What breed are they?"

        The conversation topic seems to be keeping him keen, at least."
